Location

Locally the cottage is on the top of Holcombe Hill where the local landmark Peel Monument is only 200 metres away. Peel Tower is the most visible of several local memorials to Sir Robert Peel, a 19th century British Prime Minister best remembered as the creator of the modern British Police Force, who was born in the area.

The village of Holcombe is a 10 minute walk away and Ramsbottom is only a mile beyond the village.

Ramsbottom is small stone built mill town which has a host of interesting shops and restaurants and is also a stopping point for the celebrated East Lancs Railway.

Bury the nearest large town is famous for its open market.

Fields and abundant natural wildlife characterise the immediate surrounding landscape yet Blackpool is only an hour's drive away! It is a perfect base for touring the area's many attractions.

Please note that the vehicle access to the farm is uphill via a bridlepath, which is unadopted.
